Silk Sari

Silk is a luxurious, expensive fabric that is normally reserved for the best of garments. And like most of these garments, a silk sari can often cost well over 200 dollars, and in many cases considerably more. However, they are normally exquisite garments that are well worth the cost.

The silk sari is normally worn for special occasions, weddings being among the most common events. They can range from very simple, single color designs, to very intricately printed or embroidered garments. As a general rule, the more complex the stitching or embroidery, the more expensive the sari will be.

Of course, the silk sari isn’t the only type of sari available. Saris are commonly made from fabrics such as chiffon, cotton and georgette. Saris made from these fabrics can be just as beautiful, but are usually much less expensive.
