Sari Fabric
When it comes to the sari, fabric is everything. In the vast majority of cases, the fabric should be lightweight in order to breathe and allow the body to remain cool. Lightweight fabrics also look much less bulky when worn.
Sari fabric can be found made from many different materials. Cotton, georgette and chiffon are all commonly used fabrics in these dress designs. However, silk is generally considered the “ultimate” when it comes to saris.
Sari fabric can also vary in its ornamentation. Simple, single colored saris are popular for everyday wear because then tend to be less expensive. More formal saris, however, will often incorporate highly intricate printing or embroidery into the fabrics.
