Sari

A sari is a traditional Indian garment. It is usually made from a length of cloth that can range from three to nine meters in length. It is worn by wrapping it around the body, which can be done in many different ways.

There are many traditional ways of wearing a sari. Each wrap style has its own unique characteristics and look. The “nivi” style of wrap is generally considered the most commonly seen in today’s world.

The use of a sari is ancient in origin, dating back millennia. Early depictions of this garment can be found as far back as 2000 BCE and farther. These garments are perfectly suited for the climate of the Indian subcontinent, which may explain their long historical use.
